If you imagine Africa, what do you see? Together with Rosalie van Deursen, art-historian and Africa expert, I’ll be showing a fresh image of this fascinating continent, which is modernising and innovating at a bewildering rate and where a young and dynamic generation does not take ‘no’ for an answer.

Via a series of short documentaries about a new generation of African artists we show how taboos are being broken by their exciting new work.

The first stops of our exploration were Senegal and Kenya. Soon we’ll be moving to other countries with a lively art scene such as Ethiopia, Nigeria and Ghana.
